The tech world is abuzz, and today I am going to share my unboxing and first impressions of the CMF Buds 2 Pro by Nothing-a brand known for creating minimalistic yet innovative products. These are part of CMF by Nothing, a sub-brand that has mainly aimed at more affordable gadgets without sacrifice of quality.
In this post, I will be taking you through an unboxing experience: first thoughts into design, sound quality, comfort, and a sneak peek into what to expect from the full review that’s coming soon.
Unboxing the CMF Buds 2 Pro: What’s in the Box?
When you first open the box, you’re greeted by the sleek packaging Nothing is known for. The CMF Buds 2 Pro come in a vibrant blue color, and the presentation is minimalist but stylish. Inside the box, you get:
- The CMF Buds 2 Pro themselves, nestled in their charging case
- Extra silicone ear tips in different sizes for a custom fit
- A charging cable neatly tucked in
The first thing you’ll notice is the satisfying spinning knob on the case, which adds a fun tactile element to the experience.

Design and Build Quality: Striking Yet Minimalist
The CMF Buds 2 Pro are faithful to Nothing’s design ethos: clean, minimalistic, and functional. It does add some flair with colour blue, and the buds themselves are compact and ergonomic. To that, the charging case is quite stylish looking with its in-circular design with a rotating knob at the middle. Not only does it look good, but it is also practical for use on-the-go.
Comfort and Fit: Lightweight and Snug
I tried fitting the buds immediately after unboxing, and indeed, they were lightweight and felt comfortable in the ear. They have different sizes of ear tips so you can find a fit easily and, therefore, should never come out if you don’t want them to. Be it in the gym or just strolling around, the CMF Buds 2 Pro will sit well inside your ears without falling out.
Sound Quality: Bass Lovers, Rejoice!
When it comes to Nothing, that is delivering on sound. The powerful bass was something that came to my attention right from the get-go with the CMF Buds 2 Pro while listening to my favorite tracks. The bass is deep and punchy, and these buds can be a godsend for genres that require that sort of vibe, like hip-hop, EDM, and pop. Overall, sound performance is still under exploration, but impressions from the very first few moments are promising, especially for those who enjoy heavy bass.
Initial Verdict and What’s Next
Now, these will be my main set of earbuds over the next few days, taking over from the AirPods Pro 2, as I want to go really in-depth with regard to their performance. If you have any questions or things you’d like to know, leave a comment, and I’ll make sure to include it in my full review.
With Nothing’s CMF Buds 2 Pro, so far, the first impressions have been very good-design striking, comfortable to wear, and power bass. For full in-depth sound quality, battery life, and long-term comfort, read below.
